Import and Export Instructions

SHIPPING INSTRUCTIONS FOR TROPHIES TO Conroe Taxidermy LP

We have an “Exception to Designated Port of Entry” permit, issued by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Department to use Houston as a port of entry.

Be sure your airway bill is routed directly to Houston, thus taking advantage of the thru rate available. Our permit will pass your trophies through all ports of entry, direct to Houston, saving money and the chance for missing items. Conroe Taxidermy LP will clear your trophies through U.S. Customs in Houston with the broker of your choice. We will provide additional information upon request.

Any swine trophies should be packaged separately, such as in double plastic trash bags, and marked as to contents and placed within the shipment.  We have a U.S. Agriculture permit to receive swine products.

Also any primate parts (skull, skin, etc.) should be doubled wrapped in plastic bags and shipped within the shipment.  Shipments containing primates (i.e. monkey or baboon) must have the CDC permit BEFORE the shipment arrives in the United States.  Please let us know as soon as possible that a primate has been arvested so permits can be obtained.  At present it is taking 10-15 days for the Center of Disease Control to send out the permits.  All shipments with primates in them will end up in General Order Storage.  General Order Storage is a Customs storage that cost at least an extra $250.00.  In order to keep shipments out of General Order Storage we must know ahead of time if the hunter is bringing in primates.
